Revival
We need a revival.
We need a revival.
Millennials are a generation seemingly soulless. We were the first children to grow up with technology. Unlike today's youth, we saw rapid innovation and adaption daily. Change is in our DNA. Today's youth grew up in the ubiquity of technology.
But soulless ideas only go so far. Millennials are also the first adults in the ubiquity of technology. We have a responsibility to mould it for our posterity.
Where is our faith?
Science and technology have answered much that we did not know. It seems to be the god. The ultimate tower of Babel could be science driven eternal life. As a lifelong Christian, it almost seems blasphemous. Yet, if it were here, would I take it?
Suppose, we achieve this. Suppose, Bryan Johnson succeeds and Don't Die becomes No One Dies. What good was our faith against real results? Was faith just a coping mechanism until our eventual eternal lives?
I don't know the answer. It's one thing to have religious principle in the absence of this possibility. It'll be another if we have it. Perhaps, we'll re-interpret the Bible as a prophecy of this human created eternal life. Perhaps, resurrection will be wrought by science.
Our duty as a faithful people is to redefine our faith as the world changes. If we don't, we risk dying in obscurity.
There's much each successive generation of believers have done to apply the Holy Bible to the context of their generation. The danger lies in adopting the past generations context as truth.
There's but one Truth. That Jesus died, so we could live. There's only one thing to have faith in, that God sent Jesus because he loves us with a love we'll never find amongst humanity.
I say, turn to God and there we'll find our answers.
